Literacy is one of the most important determiners of a child's success later in life and a few of our local companies have stepped up to the challenge of stamping out illiteracy in our community. These companies and organizations have recognized the importance of literacy to our community's welfare and are striving to do their part. Our literacy leaders sponsor between 6 and 25 classrooms with weekly newspapers for each student. By bringing the real world into the classroom with the newspaper they hope to inspire our students in the importance of reading and change their futures for the better.
