• The Daviess County Extension Master Gardener Hotline runs through Sept. 17. The hotline will be staffed by Extension Master Gardeners to answer gardening and landscaping questions from 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesdays. • Daviess County Extension Master Gardeners will present "Art with the Garden," for ages 9-18, from 9 a.m. to noon June 19 at the Daviess County Extension Office, 4800A New Hartford Road.

• The NAACP meets at 6 p.m. the second Monday of each month at the H.L. Neblett Community Center, Fifth and Elm streets.

• Daviess County-Owensboro-McLean retired teachers' meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Owensboro Christian Church Fellowship Room, 2818 New Hartford Road. Cost: $10.

New officers will be elected. Speaker will be Kim Ray, an Owensboro retired teacher and a Western Kentucky Botanical Garden master gardener. Frances Lewis with Odelia Catering will cater the meal.
