Honoring Our Veterans

Members of the Ohio County Honor Guard visited with Governor Matt Bevin on April 15 to discuss veterans affairs and present the governor with a plaque naming him an honorary member of the PFC Wesley Memorial Honor Guard and giving him a commemorative 1860 cavalry saber. The Honor Guard has performed more than 900 military honor funerals, color guard parades and many other veteran ceremonies.

• Karaoke is from 8 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday at James L. Yates American Legion Post 9, 736 Frederica St. All are welcome to attend this free event.

• B&B karaoke is from 8 p.m. to midnight every Friday and Saturday night at the Amvets Post 75, 2600 W. Second St.
