• The Daviess County Public Schools district is once again participating in the federally funded Summer Feeding Program, continuing our commitment to providing quality meals to children even when school is not in session.
DCPS food services staff members meet at 6 a.m. every weekday in the cafeteria at Burns Middle School, 4610 Goetz Drive, to begin preparing 300 breakfasts, 1,800 lunches and 1,500 snacks to be delivered to more than 60 sites around the county. The free meals are available to anyone age 18 and younger.
Sample meals include pork chop sandwiches, turkey sandwiches, chicken wraps and General Tso chicken with rice. A complete list of serving locations and times is posted on the district website at www.dcps.org.
