Erica Lindsey, local pageant director in McLean County was named the Kentucky State Festival Associate Director of the Year late last month.

Lindsey is celebrating her 16th year as a local director.

This year, Lindsey has hosted two pageants with the largest number of contestants in the entire state.

Lindsey’s pageants, the Firecracker Festival, Frozen Festival, Beach Bonanza Festival, and Livermore Fall Festival Pageant, are held in the Livermore City Hall. Her pageants have supported more than 50 charities, and locally supports the McLean County Resource Center, Christmas for Kids, Backpack Program, Community Education, Girl Scouts, and the installation of the Livermore Children’s Spray Park.

Lindsey says she instills humanitarian values into her pageants, and allows all contestants to collect items to be donated to a variety of causes. Just this year, they have raised over 100,000 items.

Last year, Lindsey became a preliminary director for the Kentucky Festival Pageant System. Winners of her local pageants qualify to attend and compete at the State Festival Pageant held in Lexington at the Hyatt Regency at Rupp Arena, every November.
