ELBA — Pearl M. Thompson, 82, of Elba died Friday July, 24, 2015, at her home.  Pearl Magdeline Dant was born April 16, 1933, in McLean County, to the late A.G. and Opal Sutton Dant and was married to Robert Ural Thompson.  Pearl retired from G.E. in Owensboro, was a lifelong member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, and really enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Thompson on Jan. 1, 2006, a son Robert Glenn Thompson on Dec. 21, 1963, and a daughter Beverly Jean Thompson on Oct. 23, 2003.          

Survivors include three sons; Randy and his wife Judy Thompson of Calhoun, Roger Thompson of Elba, and Rick and his wife Angie Thompson of Elba; a daughter, Bernice T. and her husband Tony Ayer of Calhoun; ten grandchildren: Bryan Ayer, Chad Ayer, Kevin Thompson, Jeremy Thompson, Gage Thompson, Garrett Thompson, Larry Wedding, Taylor Kasinger, Caitlin Ranburger, and Kaylee Ranburger; and ten great grandchildren.          

Funeral services were held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in St. Joseph with the Rev. Richard Powers officiating.  Burial was in the St. Alpnonsus Cemetery.  The Family of Pearl M. Thompson asks that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Building Fund.  Envelopes are available at Musters in Calhoun.
