OWENSBORO— Rita "R.J." Fenwick, 62, of Owens boro died Monday, August 24, 2015, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Rita Jane Sallee was born August 21, 1953, in Owensboro to the late James and Mary Ellen Bryant Sallee and was also known as R.J. to her family and friends.  Rita earlier worked for Wal-Mart on Frederica and was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church in Owensboro. She enjoyed crafts, traveling, being at the beach, and loved Elvis. In addition to her parents, Rita was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Sallee; a sister, Carolyn Clark; and by her foster parents, John and Artie Saddler.

Survivors include two sons, Chris Fenwick of Seattle and Ronnie Fenwick of Indianapolis; three grandchildren, Ezra, Griffin, and Phoebe; a brother, Tommy Sallee of Owensboro; six sisters, Judy Conway of Bremen, Patty Merimee of Owensboro, Pattie Hill of Rumsey, Regina Mauzy of Beech Grove, Debbie Daniels of Rumsey, Brenda Hardin of Hanson and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at Muster Funeral Homes, Calhoun Chapel. Burial was in the Resurrection Cemetery in Owensboro.
