Diabetes Classes

Free comprehensive Diabetes Classes will be offered 1-4 p.m. Jan. 26-28 at the McLean County Health Department, 200 Hwy 81 N., Calhoun. It is a three class series and pre-registration is required. To register call 270-273-3062.


Deer & Turkey Expo

The third annual Louisville Deer & Turkey Expo will return to the Kentucky State Fairgrounds from Jan. 29-31. A bolstered exhibitor variety, hands-on activities and the expanded series of deer hunting focused seminars from experts in the deer hunting world such as Grant Woods, highlight the three-day event.  Country music star and avid deer hunter Mark Wills will perform a special concert 8-9 p.m. Jan. 29. Wild Game Dinner

The 9th Annual Men’s Ministry Wild Game Dinner will be held on Jan. 30 at Buck Creek Baptist Church, 3788 Hwy 431, N., Calhoun. No advance tickets needed. The Owensboro Convention Center is proud to announce the 3rd Annual Wedding Show 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 31.

Help Ease Hunger

McLean County Hunters for the Hunger Chapter are having a help ease hunger event by donating venison to those in need. Sponsored by Independence bank & Kentucky Farm Bureau. All donations are tax deductible. Meat processed at Beef & Bacon in Beech Grove and distributed by God’s House of Hope in Island to McLean County Families. McLean County Chamber of Commerce

The office hours for the Chamber are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Thursday and closed Friday and Saturday. Patty Jeffries is the new Chamber Secretary and is looking forward to working with everyone. 270-273-9760.


 

Livermore Woman’s Club

The Livermore Woman’s Club will be hosting the 4th Annual 5K Run/Walk in Livermore at 8 a.m. April 23rd. The 5K Run/Walk is in support of the Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. The start of the 5K Run/Walk will be at the Pavilion on Main St. & Dr. Sam Scott Drive on the Riverfront in Livermore. The entry fee is $20 if received by March 23 and $25 if received between March 24 and April 23.
