At its 5 p.m. meeting Tuesday on the fourth floor at Owensboro City Hall, the Owensboro City Commission took up the following agenda items:

• Recognized the Owensboro Catholic High School Track and Field Team and proclaimed June 18, 2019, Owensboro Catholic High School Track and Field Team Day.

• Heard an update on the Senior Community Center of Owensboro-Daviess County by Executive Director Dana Peveler.

• Approved the June 4 annual budget public hearing, June 4 regular meeting and June 11 special-called meeting city commission minutes.

• Approved the following board appointments:

Dr. Clyde Miller -- reappointment to the Wesleyan-Shawnee Neighborhood Alliance board for a two-year term expiring April 24, 2021.

Paul Nave -- appointment to the Medical Control Authority for Emergency Medical Services/Ambulance board for a four-year term expiring June 18, 2023.

David Johnson -- appointment to the Owensboro-Daviess County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors for a three-year term expiring July 2, 2022.

• Approved Municipal Order 18-2019 -- a municipal order authorizing the mayor to execute a memorandum of agreement with Daviess Fiscal Court renewing the terms by which both entities will operate consolidated 911 dispatch services and the allocation of operational funds.

• Approved the April financial report.

• Approved the following personnel appointments:

John Berry -- probationary, full-time, non-civil service appointment to instrument technician with the Public Works Engineering Department, effective July 8.

Nicholas Bramschreiber -- probationary, full-time, non-civil service, promotional appointment to network systems engineer with the Information Technology Department, effective June 23.

Jeffrey Glass -- probationary, full-time, non-civil service, promotional appointment to network systems engineer with the Information Technology Department, effective June 23.

Kenneth Winchester -- probationary, full-time, non-civil service, promotional appointment to network systems engineer with the Information Technology Department, effective June 23.

Ryan Coffman -- regular, full-time, non-civil service appointment to fire captain with the Fire Department, effective June 24.

James Grant -- regular, full-time, non-civil service appointment to fire captain with the Fire Department, effective June 24.

James Howard -- regular, full-time, non-civil service appointment to battalion chief with the Fire Department, effective June 24.

Jason Pickrell -- regular, full-time, non-civil service appointment to battalion chief with the Fire Department, effective June 24.

Kyle Veach -- regular, full-time, non-civil service appointment to fire lieutenant with the Fire Department, effective June 24.

William Martin -- regular, full-time, non-civil service appointment to refuse truck driver with the Public Works Sanitation Department, effective June 24.
