FORDSVILLE — Carl Howard “Buddy” DeHaven, 84, of Fordsville, passed away on April 26th, 2020.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Wanda DeHaven.

He served overseas in the U.S. Army, and later worked at Vermont American. Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, bluegrass festivals, stock car racing every Sunday, and driving his tractor. He made the most out of every day with his pets, and spending time with his loving wife. His loved ones remember his selfless heart, and the many stories he would tell. Most of all, he loved time spent with his grandchildren. Buddy lived up to his nickname, being friends with everyone who knew him. The world was blessed by “Wanda and Buddy,” who were truly one of a kind. Family and loved ones will always treasure the memories they left behind.

He is survived by Becky Taylor, Randy Taylor; grandchildren, Wade and Jake Taylor; and great-grandchildren Caroline, Jack, and Henry Taylor, as well as nieces and nephews, Marvin McCarty, Donald McCarty, Leroy Marsh, Thomas Patterson, Scott Patterson and Chester Patterson.

In compliance with health and public safety directives, private family graveside services will be in Fordsville Cemetery. Care has been entrusted to Geary Funeral Home, Fordsville.
