LEWISPORT -- OC Poole, 79, of Lewisport, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019, at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. OC was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Lewisport to the late Russell and Hazel Campbell Poole. OC was a member of Victory Baptist Church. He loved his time spent at Commonwealth Aluminum where he was a member of Steel Workers Union 7325 before he retired. Prior to this, he was known for his 18 years of service at Kentucky Mirror and Plate Glass. OC enjoyed singing and listening to Hank Williams Sr. while he rode around the farm on his Kawasaki Mule. He loved spending time with his family along with hunting and fishing. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Poole; a son, Scott Poole; a grandson, Russell Poole; and a sister, Mary Russell Sinnett.
Survivors include two daughters, Kristina (Bob) Wright and Ashley Scheirmann; a son, Wes (Jennifer) Poole; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emma Rosa (Donald) Crowe.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Gibson & Son Funeral Home in Lewisport with burial following in Dorsey Cemetery. OC's family will greet friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday.
