Sound of Music

First grader Patrick Valego, 6, reacts to hearing the sound of a violin as Owensboro Symphony Academy Suzuki String instructor Adrienne Vallandingham guides him during the Symphony’s Strings Attached program on Friday to the Maximilian Montessori Academy. The symphony program helps to provide equity and access in music education to students in county, city, private, and home school systems. The violins used by students are one-eighth size, which are about 17 inches long and designed for students age 4-6 years old.
